What Is The Best Urine/Waste Odor Eliminator For Carpets?

I have a puppy who I am trying to potty train right now and she sometimes has accidents. I know that dogs like to go where they can smell they have peed or pooed before, so I want to get a cleaner that will completely eliminate the smell from the carpet. The cleaner I have now eliminates the odor for me, but apparently she can still smell it, since dogs have a keen sense of smell. I have read about enzymatic cleaners that can eliminate the smell but I am unsure about what brand to buy. At the pet store there are so many brands and I’m not sure what exactly to look for.

I have also heard about using vinegar to get rid of the smell, but I don’t want my carpet smelling like vinegar anymore than I want it to smell like pee or poop.

Cleaning the carpet in my apartment?

When we moved in 2 months ago there were a few stains on the carpet, but otherwise it looked clean. I vacuum once a week just on principle I like to walk on clean carpet. However, I got a puppy for christmas and she’s already mostly house broken. We’ve just had maybe 3 or 4 accidents. I noticed she went on the stained parts of the carpet. Our carpet is a medium brown color and the stains are just a little darker so I wasn’t too worried and noted it on my move in check list. As I was cleaning the accidents, I noticed quite a bit of dirt coming up also. I wanted to steam clean, but I know that some steam cleaners actually soak the carpet which can cause the carpet to not get completely dry in some areas leading to mold or rotting. I’m not sure what to do because it’s killing the neat freak in me that the floor is so icky. We were told that it had been professionally steam cleaned prior to us moving in, but that seems highly doubtful. Any ideas on how or what I should use to clean my carpet? I’m kind of on a tight budget so the best for the cheapest price would be great.

best steam cleaner for stains and bacteria?

I recently had a puppy with a disease that is contagious and she went to the bathroom a lot on my carpet…I first tried different carpet cleaners but they didn’t work too well and now I know I need to kill the bacteria as well. Would a steam cleaner kill the bacteria as well or the rug doctor?

Cleaners for finished natural hardwood flooring?

I got a puppy, he went to the bathroom on the hardwood floors of the rental house I am in. I can’t get the smell out and I do not want to have to replace the floors. Before you say Murphy oil soap, I tried it; it didn’t get the smell out and it left a sticky residue on the floor. Would a floor steam cleaner help, like the shark or something. I used bleach on the linoleum but I know it won’t be good for the wood.

My dog is breaking out in hives! Pictures included! HELP!!!!!?

Please help, tonight is the second night my dog has broke out in crazy amount of hives all over her body, it happened between 12am-1am, lasting about an hour, and it doesn’t happen during the day. I originally thought it was her food so i changed it to a different brand this morning. I super cleaned her food and water bowls, giving her fresh water. She went all day without breaking out with these bumps. I have NO idea what so ever what this could be. We have changed absolutely nothing in our home. No new detergents for our laundry, carpet, no new cleaners, solvents, cologne, perfume, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, nothing has changed, no new foods in our home etc. I have a cat that i have had since my dog was a puppy, the cats fine and the dog has never had any problems like this before.

here are the pictures of the "hives"

like i earlier posted, she it just happens all at once and lasts about an hour. i did make a vet appointment today, but they say they cant even fit her in until friday
absolutely nothing has changed in my household, i have gone over it many many times and cant think of one thing that has been done different…
so i got my dog into the vet today, and didnt have to wait until friday, he gave her an allergy shot, and i have to taker her back in a week for a booster shot. he said not to be alarmed if she breaks out one or two more times, and if she does give her 18mg of benadryl, the kind with diphenhydramine hci, NOT loratadine

Nature's Miracle and potty training.?

We have a 6 month old puppy and she was pretty much potty trained. The last two days, she seems to have regressed to where she is peeing in the house very frequently. I don’t blame the weather because on very cold snow days she used to go outside to go without any issues. This weekend we it got unseasonably warm went from 20 degree weather to 50 degree. Not sure if that would cause it. I doubt it.

I own a Hoover carpet cleaner. I shampoo frequently but I was using a normal cleaner vs pet based. Still seemed to smell faint urine.

My questions are product based. When an accident happens I’ve been using Nature’s Miracle (with enzymes) to clean the mess.

Today I bought a gallon of Bissel carpet shampoo for pet odor and stains.

I bought a gallon of stain and odor solution from Petsmart. I picked this up since it said it can be mixed with carpet shampoo and used in carpet cleaners. Nature’s Miracle didn’t have any instructions on if it could be used in carpet machine cleaners.

Is it a good idea to mix in the enzyme solution with carpet cleaning solution? If so, can Nature’s Miracle be mixed in?

Then we also picked up Nature’s Miracle No Marking solution. Now is this actually better then Nature’s Miracle? The No Marking solution has no enzymes but says it repels pets from going on the same spot.

We are trying to find the best approach to get rid of the urine smells and try to prevent her from going in the house.

Any advice would be great. Thanks!!!!

Advice on a steam-cleaner to tackle LOTS of old pet stains?

I need some advice on the best steam cleaners to get old urine stains out of carpet. I pet-sit a 5 month old English Bulldog puppy and also help with a lot of his training, and a couple weeks ago his owner has told me that he’s having difficulty housebreaking the pup. Their carpet is such a color/pattern that you cannot really see any stains, but I am sure that puppy can smell them, so I went out and bought a black light from PetSmart to help pinpoint his "spots" I was completely overwhelmed (and a bit disgusted) by the number of stains I found with that thing. Bought some Nature’s Miracle and got to work on them, but it takes SO much product to neutralize a stain, I’ve gone through 3 bottles in no time at all and have made very, VERY little progress.

I’ve decided that this is definitely going to require a good steam cleaner. Should I rent, or buy?

If I buy one it would be from Kohl’s (my mom actually offered to buy one for me if she can also use it whenever she needs) so I’ve provided that link. Let me know if any of those are decent for cleaning LOTS of urine from carpet AND furniture. Also if the cleaning solutions for those things are really safe for pets, or if I’d have to rely on steam alone to lift the stains (I’m guessing that would make a difference in the machine’s effectiveness).

About renting — are the rental machines considerably better at cleaning than a machine I could buy? What places rent steam cleaners, and how much might they cost?

Sorry this is so long…. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
