I have looked at all 3 hoover carpet cleaners the cheapest one specifies that it is a steamer the other 2 cleaners are way more expensive but they dont specify the steam action but they point out that the are featuring things like heated dry and pressurized jet washing etc. I have heard steam is the way to go . there may be another brand thats better . If you are familiar with a carpet cleaner please give me your opionion. Thank u

For example, if I am searching "best carpet cleaning machine," I might get redirected to some random list of sites that sell household cleaners or maybe even an unrelated video. Also, the back button will not work once i have been redirected. After 3 tries of retyping my search, I usually get through to the proper site.

My carpet is not hideous, but it has looked better. There is one juice stain from the kids (which is hidden by a rug right now) and it’s overall a little dirtied up. I tried some cleaners for the bad spots, but they really didn’t do anything other then lighten the carpet a little – which also made a visible spot from where I didn’t clean. I am thinking I will need to steam clean just so it doesn’t look patchy. Any thoughts?

Can you use one of those carpet cleaners or do you need to use a steam cleaner if so how do you scrub the stain out of the fabric or does the steam just do it? Bought a used sofa that didn’t see all the stains on it until we got home.

We have white carpet and I want to know some of your experiences of what has worked the best. We have a bissel carpet cleaner at home and I would like to use that but the bissel cleaners don’t work very well from what I’ve found.

My current vacuum will not even move an inch over my new carpet. I would love to hear some suggestions/reviews on the best upright cleaners for this issue.I would prefer one that is not to expensive and is bagged. Thanks so much!

I understand there is more than one method for commercial carpet cleaners to clean carpet; steam, chemical, soap and water, is one method better than the other? My tap water is loaded with minerals (mostly calcium and magnesium) so I don’t want to use it.

I have a puppy who I am trying to potty train right now and she sometimes has accidents. I know that dogs like to go where they can smell they have peed or pooed before, so I want to get a cleaner that will completely eliminate the smell from the carpet. The cleaner I have now eliminates the odor for me, but apparently she can still smell it, since dogs have a keen sense of smell. I have read about enzymatic cleaners that can eliminate the smell but I am unsure about what brand to buy. At the pet store there are so many brands and I’m not sure what exactly to look for.
I have also heard about using vinegar to get rid of the smell, but I don’t want my carpet smelling like vinegar anymore than I want it to smell like pee or poop.
